Our Refashion and the S-bags projects exhibited at the EU Open House in Washington.

Last year, we launched the Refashion design strategy contributing to the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. This year, thousands of visitors will have the great opportunity to experience SOLVE Studio 's sustainable designs up close during the EU Open House.

🏛 The EU Open House is an event organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States to give visitors an insight into European culture. This year, the central themes are sustainable fashion and circularity in the textile industry.

👗 At SOLVE Studio I use the design strategy “ Refashion ”, which is based on reusable fabric modules, to create sustainable fashion. Depending on the need, the modules are exchanged or new fashion pieces are designed from them. In collaboration with the team from the Institute of Computer Science, University of St.Gallen, as part of Circular Lab, we are working to scale-up Refashion with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

👜 The S-bags system by SOLVE Studio invites you to co-create your favourite designs. The designs are downloadable and easy to make (no sewing required) with pre-owned materials. Local manufacturing decreases CO2 emissions from shipping & packaging while co-creation promotes product life extension by building greater attachment to the product.
